We’re recruiting!

Type: News
Topic: Camphill
Published on: 7th August 2018

Our Chair, Christine Johnson, is reaching the end of her 4 year tenure as Chair of the Camphill Scotland Board of Trustees.  We are now recruiting for a new Chair, who we hope will be in place by October.  Please note that the current advert for our Chair wrongly states that the role is Edinburgh based. In fact, we are able to receive applications from people across Scotland. The advert will be corrected as soon as possible.

About us

Camphill Scotland seeks to promote the work of Camphill communities in Scotland, build their influence at a national level and bring Camphill values to the national policy debate. Recently we have been at the forefront of a national campaign to amend the EU (withdrawal) bill to safeguard the European links essential to Camphill’s future. We have worked with our partners to change the Scottish social security bill so that it better meets the needs of disabled people. We have successfully enabled our members to work together on leadership and succession and this remains a key priority for us.

The role of the Chair

The role of Chair for Camphill Scotland can be divided into three main areas:

1) Leading and managing Camphill Scotland Council

2) Acting as a figurehead and national advocate for the organisation

3) Building effective working relationships with Camphill Scotland staff
