Camphill School Aberdeen are hugely proud to be a finalist in this year’s SCVO awards as a pioneering project for the COVID-19 Pop-up Vaccine Centre. Their POP-UP COVID-19 vaccination centre was the first of its kind in Scotland for young people with learning disabilities, delivering vaccines to 98% of all those eligible – ahead of the national average.
Utilising familiar spaces within the community grounds and with the support of Dr Stefan Geider and the Camphill Medical Practice team, vaccines were administered with reduced stress and anxiety.
Alex Busch, Director of Camphill School Aberdeen, said:
Getting through to the finals of the SCVO Scottish Charities Award for Pioneering Projects is excellent recognition for Camphill School Aberdeen and all other Camphill charities working hard to safeguard the people in our communities.
We would be hugely grateful if you could take 2 minutes to help celebrate this project by voting for us online at the SCVO Scottish Charity Awards.
