We are currently recruiting for Waking Night Staff for our new and exciting Supported Living Service.
Your main role will be to offer overnight support to people in their own home, responding appropriately and timely to calls for assistance from our tenants. You will need to develop warm and effective relationships with our member supporting them to cope with their lives in a positive and planned way so that they can make informed choices, develop new skills, grow greater self-confidence and maximise their independence. The role will also involve supporting members to get themselves up and ready for their day.
You will have knowledge of multi-agency working, housing support/care at home systems and knowledge of diversity of service user groups which you will use to establish and maintain respectful and empowering relationships with service users so that they feel valued and supported and in control of their own lives.
Full time staff will be expected to work to a fixed four week rota, totalling 14 nights per month (154hrs). Our night shift is between 10pm and 9am in order to meet the needs of our individual members, who may require your support in the morning.
What you will need
- Willingness to work towards and achieve an appropriate qualification recognised by SSSC
- Ability to build equal and positive relationships with people
- Demonstrate an understanding of working with people to include them and tackle exclusion
- Flexible, practical and reliable approach
You are required to register with SSSC within 6 months of starting in the post.

Salary: £18,086.25 – £19,110
Hours: 37.5 hours a week (150hrs over a four week period).
Holidays: 36 days rising to 40 days
Pension: Up to 9%
