Board of Trustee Vacancies

Location: Milltown Community
Type of vacancy: Local

About Milltown

Milltown is a small and dynamic community in rural Aberdeenshire. Through living and working together, making connections in the local area, and taking part in a wide variety of activities, we encourage people to learn new skills and reach their potential.
We have two houses and a Day Workshop. The two houses – Milltown House and Peesie’s Knapp – are registered for housing support and care at home for eight adults with learning disabilities.

Milltown Day Workshop provides day services for people with a variety of disabilities who live locally. Activities include restoring donated tools for Tools for Self Reliance, wood work, crafts, working in the gardens and the smallholding.

We are active members of both Camphill Scotland and the Association of Camphill Communities.

Opportunity to join our Board of Trustees

We are currently recruiting to fill places on our Board of Trustees, and would welcome expressions of interest from local people of all backgrounds, to oversee and be accountable for our work.  This would entail getting to know Milltown Community and attending a monthly council meeting.  If you would like to support what we do, or have experience that you would like to share, this could be the role for you!

Further information
