Support for Parents and Carers

Type: News
Topic: Disability rights | Policy and legislation
Published on: 16th November 2017

Camphill Scotland hosted a joint event this month with Camphill Families and Friends (CFF).  CFF is an organisation run by parents and carers of people with a learning disability who live and work in Camphill communities.  During this event our Director Neil Henery heard about the struggle many families have to find the right support for their relatives and the great value they place in the community environment offered by Camphill.  Neil updated them on our policy and influencing work and underlined our strong belief that the perspectives of parents and carers should be much more prominent in the debates on learning disability and social policy.
