Ochil Tower School was delighted to welcome local MP, Luke Graham, to the school on 24 May 2019.
During his tour of the school Mr Graham was able to meet staff, and some of the students attending the school. Mr Graham was updated about Ochil Tower School’s work, and about its approaches to care and support, and to education. He also heard first hand from staff members, including volunteer co-workers about the potential impact of Brexit upon Ochil Tower School and the other Camphill communities in Scotland.
Stuart Provan, Ochil Tower School’s CEO’s said:
We were delighted to welcome our local MP, Luke Graham, to Ochil Tower School on Friday 24th May. We enjoyed sharing with Mr Graham details of how our school has evolved to meet the changing needs of children and young people.
Our new Life Skills Centre offers extended education for young adults aged 18-21, years and supports their transition into young adulthood. We have also extended our service to 43 weeks for a group of children and young people and their families who can now benefit from a more rounded care and educational support package
It was a great opportunity to tell Mr Graham about the cultural benefits that are gained within a community such as Ochil Tower School through its International volunteering programme. We believe that these opportunities to enjoy cultural exchanges with other countries from Europe, and across the World, helps us in creating a unique environment for our children to thrive within

I was delighted to meet with the staff at Ochil Tower School in Auchterarder.
It was fantastic to see first-hand the excellent work they are doing and the positive and benefits the staff are bringing to the youngsters’ lives. The on-site facilities, enthusiasm of the international staff and the variety of education are giving all of the students confidence and an excellent foundation for further and higher education and onwards to future employment and adulthood.
