Simeon Care for the Elderly in Aberdeen has gone hi-tech. They have installed a contactless sign in/out system which is being used by staff, residents and visitors. The system has been very well received by relatives, who love it, because they have the freedom to check themselves in and out.
Simeon have also installed new hand sanitising units, and, due to popular demand along with positive feedback, they increased the number of units available from one to four.
Simeon’s Manager, Michelle Riddock said:
The contactless system is really fantastic. It allows staff, residents and visitors to sign in and out with ease, whilst including all necessary information regarding Covid-19.
Staff are less stressed without having this additional task to complete, and it also allows me to keep accurate records for emergency evacuations and fire drills.
The new contactless hand sanitiser/moisturiser units measure out an exact amount of gel, and it is scented with hand moisturiser.
We now have 4 units, one in each wing and one at front door. Staff love it because it’s gentler on their hands. Residents love the smell of it and it’s easy to use.
