The Scottish Government has a statutory duty to ensure that it provides communication equipment and support to any person who has lost their voice or has difficulty speaking. The implementation of this duty is being led by the Scottish Government in collaboration with the AAC Collaborative. The Scottish Government has issued a short survey about AAC technology and support, which Camphill Scotland encourages carers and family members with experience of using or needing AAC technology to complete. The results will help to shape the Scottish Government’s implementation of its commitment that everyone requiring AAC equipment and support will receive it.
