About the community

Corbenic is a community of 110 people, 38 residents, 6 households within around 100 acres of agricultural and forestry land.

The community is based on the principle of living and working together with those who have special needs. Those with special needs play a critical, participative, central role in the life of Corbenic. Respect and concern for the dignity of each person are actively fostered at Corbenic, as is ensuring a stable and secure physical, emotional, social environment, and attending to individual privacy and promoting appropriate independence.

We provide horse riding therapy, music therapy, art therapy, and rhythmical massage. Corbenic is a great place for people who love the outdoors.

New Day Service Provision

We offer day service opportunities to young people and adults living outwith the community in our workshops and also at our shop/café in Dunkeld.

Real life stories

Andrew

Andrew has severe communication difficulties. He likes to communicate using facial expressions: in this picture, he is enjoying being out on the hills with others from the community where he lives.
