A real life story from: Camphill School Aberdeen

Reflections from international volunteers about their experience of volunteering at Camphill School Aberdeen:
Being a volunteer here means a big step in my personal and professional life, in addition to making a difference and helping, I managed to learn another language.
I really like volunteering at Camphill, I always say that I came here to help and to teach pupils, but in fact they taught me a lot more, I feel more responsible and safer with myself.

I love to work in a Camphill community, since I arrived here, we went for many outings where the kids have lots of fun in amazing places, many activities in the house where you can bring things you are good at and like to do.

Volunteering in a Camphill Community means to me that people who normally would have not met each other, become a big family and help to bring out the best in each other. Children are connection in this new formed family.

I was attracted to a Camphill Community because I knew it is a place where other young people with similar life interests are. I also love that it is a place where life is shared and so much learning is happening.
I am a person who likes to work practically and with people, so for me Camphill is the perfect place to gain experience before possibly going to study.
Living in Camphill means so much to me, since the day I arrived everyone here became family in my newfound home. I love the feeling of supporting and caring for people, and that I can help to make a difference to their lives. There are always other volunteers to meet with, outings to go on, and many activities to share the experience here together.
