Following the last Social Pedagogy Professional Association AGM a few of us from different organizations in Scotland got together to see if we could organise a one-day event for practitioners interested in taking social pedagogy forward in Scotland.
We were delighted that over 50 people turned up for the event and participated in an open space meeting where the participants made the agenda, agreed the programme and facilitated all the groups.
Members from Camphill in Scotland participated, with folk attending from Ochil Tower School, Tiphereth and Blair Drummond. Camphill Scotland’s Director, Neil Henery, facilitated a group considering the ongoing conversations with the SSSC and its relationship to social pedagogy.
Other than some very important networking that took place, a new Facebook page was set up – Scottish Social Pedagogy Network – and a small group offered to organize a further event, so watch this space….
Our thanks go to Ochil Tower School, who generously allowed us to use their facilities and who showered us with their warmth and hospitality.
