Camphill Blair Drummond recently welcomed a group of Volunteers from the TSB’s Edinburgh head office. The TSB volunteers helped Camphill Blair Drummond to complete the building of its Sensory Herb Garden. The group’s work included helping to lay the pathways in the Sensory Herb Garden.
The work of the TSB volunteers followed on from the work of a team of managers from the Robertson Group who volunteered at Camphill Blair Drummond, and who also contributed to the building of the Sensory Herb Garden.
The TSB’s head office volunteers also helped to part fund the Sensory Herb Garden through a fundraising day at their work.
The finishing touches to the Sensory Herb Garden will be the planting of the herbs, which our residents and day students will do as part of the Garden Workshop.
Camphill Blair Drummond deeply appreciates the contribution of all of the volunteers from the Robertson Group and from the TSB for their tremendous hard work and commitment.
Gerry McKeown, Camphill Blair Drummond’s Development and Enterprise Manager, said:
We welcomed Employees from TSB Headquarters in Edinburgh to our Community for the first time. As well as being involved in the Construction of our new Sensory Herb Garden, they raised a significant amount of money towards the cost of the project.
This project will provide a quiet place for many of our residents and day students to use, as well as providing herbs for the community. The impact that employee volunteers have within the community is immeasurable, and we look forward to welcoming TSB volunteers back to Camphill Blair Drummond again in the near future.
